Barony of Foxton
Upon first inspection, Samuel Seaborn appears out of place amongst Underwood’s Diplomatic aides. He doesn’t share Underwood or Stamper’s ruthlessness, nor their lack of trust or cynicism. He tends to be more optimistic, more open, and often times inspirational in his ability to sway others to his way of thinking. In the end, it’s these qualities that make him so useful to the calculating Underwood. Seaborn is tasked with assignments where a softer touch is necessary, or where the targets can not be intimidated or bullied, and instead respond to earnesty and sincerity. However, Seaborn is still devoted to Underwood’s cause, regardless of their difference in method. Underwood’s vision for Foxton, for Braewen, for the Baron, all align with that of Seaborn, and so he welcomes the chance to provide his services.
